Obama – President of the United States

As America prepares for an historic day tomorrow – what thoughts and views are being exchanged via social media.  Is it that Obama is the right man for the job?  Is it around the colour of his skin?  Worse is their condemnation of this man because of the colour of his skin? Is it reflecting on George W Bush time in office?

The Obama Presidential Election trail utilised every form of media at its disposal.  His campaign sought to seek the broadest range of web users.  His use of UTube and e-book were all utilised.  Was his success aided by this tapping into a relatively new communcation tool?  The general commentary has to be a resounding “Yes”.

Many questions – not sure of the answers.

Personally I welcome a new age of enlightenment and hope for all Americans under the care of this new President.

I think Obama is a bit different there for we will see something different. I think that he will make loads of changes in his first year but there after it will be the same old America.

I think Obama is going to make a big diffrence to america and people around the world. he has already said that people who have not comitted a crime but are still being tourchered in Guantanamo bay are going to be set free and sent to their own countries this shows that he cares for not just americans but for all people. he has also said that prisoners in guantanamo bay are going to be deported to a state prison were they wont get tourchered and will be able to do a proper jail sentence instead of just getting tourchered and dieing.

    Hello

Well what has the leader of the biggest player in the world have to say about a whole host of issues that are having an influence on the rest of the world. Credit crisis is linked to the USA economy. Those held at Guantanamo bay may not all be linked to dealing directly in terror but tell that to the families of those that have lost loved ones in trying to bring peace to our world. Obama has la ot to do in his office and there are alot that will be watching his every move.

For me I would just like for once for someone to communicate to the world in terms that we can all understand how we a a society can live together and bring about mass communication that is beyond Mr Gate’s world and shows us that there is true peace.

Forget the colour of his skin – what is the nature of this man who has such power??

    God bless us all

  4. His campaign has certainly reached out and engaged people. His book ‘Audacity of Hope’ attempts to set out his values for politics dealing with the issues affecting the American people and moving away from the ‘tit for tat’ ‘schoolboy’ politics of rancour and finger-pointing.
He ran his campaign in a different way to previous Presidential elections and did not go for the personal attacks so common these days.
He genuinely seems to be using new and mainstream media to reach out and engage – not to inform or misinform. Audacious indeed!

We’re all holding our breath and waiting – fingers crossed that he lives up to all our expectations.
